Overview

The CNC hot wire cutter in AFL is an important machine that we use to cut our molds. It is a 4 axis machine that takes G-Code coordinates from a MATLAB software given airfoil inputs and cuts the airfoil out with taper if indicated. There are instructions already in AFL and if you have any questions, you can ask the lab assistants. There is also a document here explaining some more tips and tricks when using the machine that are not described in the instructions.
